List of Chairmen of the UPSC 2023:- The Indian government’s central recruiting agency for officers is the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). It incorporates the Director and the individuals designated by the Leader of India. The UPSC Chairmen list from 1926 to 2023 is provided below.
The most important central recruitment agency in India is the Union Public Services Commission. Through various examinations, it is in charge of recruiting all Group “A” officers for the Indian government. UPSC is among the couple of organizations in India that work with both full independence and opportunity. The UPSC’s composition is the subject of extensive provisions in Articles 315 to 323 of Part XIV of the constitution.
The Chairman and the members of UPSC are appointed by the Indian President. The Chairman and UPSC members hold the position for six years, or until they reach the age of 65.
Sir Ross Barker joined the UPSC in October 1926 and served as its first Chairman until August 1932.
