India’s Freedom Fighters: Mahatama Gandhi
Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi, who was born on October 2, 1869, is referred to as the “Father of the Nation” because of the enormous sacrifices he made for the country. In addition to leading India to independence, he inspired numerous other international campaigns for independence and human rights. It is believed that Gandhi, also known as Bapu, introduced the concept of nonviolence to India. He believed that nonviolent protest and a refusal to cooperate with the British would lead to independence. It is to his credit that he was able to involve a large number of people in the independence movement. The Dandi March, the Quit India campaign, and the historic Non-Cooperation movement were all launched under his direction. He was assassinated on January 30, 1948, by Nathuram Godse, who was also known as Bapu.
India’s Freedom Fighters: Subhas Chandra Bose
Subhas Chandra Bose was without a doubt one of the greatest Indian liberation fighters ever. On January 23, 1897, he was brought into the world in Cuttack. He was popularly referred to as Netaji. He was a hero because he was a fervent nationalist who was also extremely patriotic. Bose belonged to the extremist wing of the Indian freedom fighters. He was the leader of a radical young wing of Congress from the beginning of the 1920s until the end of 1930. Bose disagreed with Gandhi’s nonviolent beliefs and believed that only armed insurrection could drive the British out of India. He was the one who came up with the Forward Bloc, and during World War II, he was able to get to Germany before the British caught up to him. He established the Indian National Army (INA) and, with the assistance of the Japanese, was able to free a portion of Indian land from the British in Manipur. However, after the Japanese surrendered, the British ultimately defeated him. His death is still a mystery, despite the fact that it is believed that he died in an airplane accident on August 18, 1945.
Freedom Fighters of India – Bhagat Singh
Bhagat Singh, a member of the Freedom Fighters of India, was born on September 28, 1907, in Banga, Pakistan. He was one of the most outspoken liberation revolutionaries in India. In India’s liberation war, he was a controversial but respected figure. This progressive legend was naturally introduced to a Sikh family in Punjab’s unified state and carried on his family’s practice and nationalism till his demise. He was a part of a plot in 1928 to kill British police superintendent James Scott as a revenge for Lala Lajpat Rai’s death. At the point when they coincidentally killed another youthful cop, the activity was fizzled, and Singh ran away to Lahore to keep away from indictment. In response to the implementation of the Defence of India Act, he and his associates threw a bomb at the Delhi Central Legislative Assembly the following year before surrendering to the police. The English put this exceptional Indian autonomy fighter to death by hanging at Lahore Focal Prison, Lahore, Pakistan on 23 Walk 1931, and he was hanged at the time of just 23. Shaheed Bhagat Singh is his most well-known moniker.
Freedom Fighters of India – Mangal Pandey
Mangal Pandey, a well-known Indian freedom fighter, was born on July 19th, 1827. He is frequently regarded as the forerunner of India’s first struggle for independence, the 1857 revolution against the British. As a soldier in the 34th Bengal Native Infantry regiment of the East India Company’s army, he led the sepoy mutiny that eventually resulted in the 1857 revolt. During the 1850s, when another Enfield rifle was presented in India, he had his most serious conflict with the organization. It was believed that animal fat, particularly fat from cows and pigs, lubricated the rifle’s cartilage. Because of the use of the cartridges, the Indian troops rebelled against the company, claiming that it was against their religious beliefs. On Walk 29, 1857, Pandey and his individual sepoys rebelled against the English chiefs, endeavoring to kill them. He was found and sentenced to death on April 18. However, British officials murdered him at Barrackpore 10 days early on April 8, 1857, anticipating a sepoy uprising.
Women Freedom Fighters of India – Rani Laxmi Bai
Rani Laxmi Bai, the Queen of Jhansi, was born in Varanasi on November 19, 1828. She was one of the Women Freedom Fighters of India. Manu is a well-known name for her, Manikarnika Tambe. She was one of the most persistent Progressive Warfighters. She inspired numerous Indian women to fight for India’s independence and continues to inspire women to fight for their rights today. She defended her castle with her newborn child when British forces overran it in 1858. On June 18, 1858, she passed away in the Battle of Gwalior against a huge rose.
